On a Windows Master/Media server setting Global or Universal attributes alone won't get you notifications. It also requires the installation of Blat to provide an SMTP mailer facility...this should also be covered a bit in the NBU ...

I never did get to a resolution on this problem. The project has been shelved for the time being due to the number of issues I've run into trying to get EV working.

I moved a mailbox from the Ohio Exchange Server to the Massachusetts Exchange server and provisioning ran normally for that one mailbox. What could the problem possibly be?

I have a similar issue, though it is ISA with Exchange backend.Retrieval of archived messages is much slower when compared to opening regular messages. Exuse my ignorance but where did you modify the HTTP compression setting?

This turned out to be an RTFM-moment.The EV compatibility guide specifically states that Discovery Accelerator 2007 requires that your SQL2000 server be at SP4.....I was at SP3 which was fine for EV but not for DA.doh!

My mistake it is Veritas Storage Foundations for Windows that I had read about.  Again not sure if it's required in your particular environment....just remembered reading that FlashBackup need VSF for Windows to work on Windows platforms.
