Biography:

I started working for a Veritas reseller in 1999, being a Solaris System Administrator up to this point in time. Having to support customers, I had to learn the traditional Veritas products - NetBackup, Volume Manager, Cluster Server.
Like other TA's I stumbled across the forums looking for answers and ended up answering more questions than finding answers. I nevertheless still learn from fellow users every day.
I live west of Johannesburg in sunny South Africa, close to my grown-up son and daughter. I love gardening, photography, getting out into Nature....

NOTHING will happen to it. It is still available until it expires. If you want to restore from it, make it primary, or specify '-copy 1' if you want to use bprestore from cmd.

No, you have not made copy 2 into copy 1. You have made it PRIMARY. Copy 1 is still copy 1 and copy 2 is still copy 2.

NBU will simply pass cleanup instruction to DD via the OST plugin. What happens on DD side needs to be checked with DD tools. DD commands/tools do not form part of NBU commands/tools/documentation.
