Kyle, Thanks for all your help on this. After talking to Symantec support we did truncate the table. According to Symantec this is something they do fairly often. The truncate table took 1 second to complete. Thanks, Cody

Kyle, I did see that KB article to run the manual purge. I would try that, but from what the DBA is telling me, it could take a long time. Do you know how much data you purged using he manual purge, and how long it took? I'm really tempted ...
