James "Scott" Hardie has over 17 years of experience in Informational Technology Consulting, 10 of which have been focused on Altiris. He has consulted and worked for some of the largest Fortune 500 companies in the world such as Ford, General Motors, HP. Time Warner, Sprint, K-Mart, Honeywell, EDS, Comcast, Cisco, Xerox, Eaton, ArvinMeritor, Apple Computer, and Kelly Services.
 
     Prior to joining Symantec he was a co-founder of the XCEND Group, an Altiris and Symantec Platinum Partner. Additionally Scott worked for Altiris as a Field Sales Engineer supporting the Great Lakes Region and was a Global Project Manager and Manager of Engineering for Kelly Services as an Altiris customer. Scott currently holds over 16 technical certifications from a range of vendors such as Altiris, Apple, BMC, Cisco, EMC, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Novell, Symantec and Sun Microsystems. He has achieved a number of awards from XCEND, Altiris, and Sprint  over the years for achievement and customer dedication. Scott attended Eastern Michigan University with a dual major in Computer Science and Criminal Justice and a triple minor in Science and Technology, Military Science and Journalism.
