They improved the console so that they could redirect your attention from all of the other issues they have had since 6.1 that they are unwilling to fix! i.e. PXE
and there are a lot of complaints about the speed of the console so it's valid that they have spend time to improve it. Apart from this, from what i've seen so far the 7.1 version is a big improvement on many different levels. This is how the 7.0 version was supposed to be.
Maybe they could make the product actually work.
Symantec has spent so much time creating new User Interfaces (Console 6.5, 7.0, 7.1) and ignoring the actual issues that prevent the product from working.
