hi Freed84

Thanx. Glad you found it informative. It is same for Windows 2003. But Os has to be R2 family member as It's NFS which is key part in GRT and for 2003 NFS was introduced in R2 family

 Cheers !!!

Thanks for such a quick response! Unfortunately we are not running R2. Will we still be able to backup the AD?

I'm preparing for same along with sharepoint

Ref: About restoring the System State Section under NetBackup Admin Guide Volume - I Windows

Guide should help to get confidense on NBU restore methods... Underlying principal remains same, it's only backup application which has changed (native to NBU)

 Cheers !!!

Hi Jack,

My DC clients dont appear to have that folder structure you listed:

/veritas/netbackup/db/altnames

I realize you said to create the altnames directory, but I dont have the db directory either. My clients have:

BareMetal

bin

DbExt

Logs

online_util

resources

scripts

sec

share

temp

var

my clients version is showing as 7.5 is this something that should be applied to the media/master server? it wasnt quite clear for me.

Thanks for the video!!

If I was helpful in solving your issue please mark my post with a thumbs up or a solution!  Have a great day :)

This is surprising db directory is missing?

Was NBU master server installed properly?

Do verify it again, it should be there..

altnames may or may not exist, You can create it followed by No.Restrictions

 Cheers !!!
