Part 2
Part 2 is complete, but since it goes into more technical information it is about 30 minutes long. It'll probably be available sometime this week.
I'm still finalizing the script for part 3, it'll probably be ready sometime next week.

Thnx
Great initiative.
This kind of info is always hard to find (without reading tons of pdf's)
Encore! Encore!
As usual, your timing is impeccable! I'm knee deep in a script to delete an item from a remote server, and as normal, I've over complicated it. (I don't need to create a webserver, why Altiris already has).
Can't wait for the encore!
(BTW, get the juice! RSS fed to do enclosures, and we can call this a Video Podcast, vcast, or whatever).

What kind of item are you trying to delete?

Computers
We are using a third party CMDB with NS being the auto-discovery and inventory piece. When someone removes a computer from service or repurposes it, the resource needs to be removed from our NS servers.
The CMDB was able to consume the web service and the resource was deleted, but the CMDB throws an error because the web service does not send any daya in the response packet (their issue, not Altiris', but I have to fix it).
So I coded a web service in C# that returns a string and calls the ItemManagement.Delte at the same time.
I'm back to watch the other two videos to make sure I am doing it correctly, because on one of the three NS's, the original item is deleted leaving the cloned item it its place.
Good stuff
Great video. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the series.
