Automating multiple-user enrollment

Apr 11, 2012 12:03 PM

It is sometimes necessary to setup a group of users on multiple systems.  Manually doing so is anywhere from tedious to unmanageable.  This video shows the PGP-side components that can automate this process.

Do we need to have command line license to run this script?

Got the error code issue resolved. My next question is does this method enroll users with the Universal Server or is this creating Passphrase users on the local system?

I'm also getting the "Error code -12198 Not permitted by your administrator" when I try and run this command.  I tried removing the --admin-authorization that was mentioned above but no success.  Does anybody know what that error is?

The video was great and answered one of our main concerns about PGP.

Thanks

Why some times i get the error:

"Error code -12198 Not permitted by your administrator" when i'm trying to add user using command line? I have hard drive encrypted with WDE admin passphrase using PGP Universal Server consumer policy. But if i just add a user without --admin-authorization i got the successful message.
