Changing Users Displaying on Process View from Email Address to Display Name

This provides the ability to change key user fields to render the display name of the user, rather than the email address.  Specifically,  Affected User, Submitted By User, Owner, and ResolvedBy User can all now be changed to render the Display Name, rather than the email address, or a combination of both, as the example provides. 

This uses a Integration component to generate a user mapping for the information.  Afterwares, you attach the associated process via automation rules to the the existing Servicedesk tickets.  

The video explains installation, and configuration. 

The attached package file provides the necessary workflow.

Hi,

I just implemened this workflow on ServiceDesk 8 HF2. Works like a charm.

Is there also a possibility to get this fields as variables available in the Notification - Email template editor?

You will need to use the right-click on the mp4 linkand then follow Ohzone's instructions!

Thanks for the heads up Lark. I'll check with the video team to see what's causing the issues with inline play. In the meantime I've added instructions for downloading the mp4 for viewing.
