Symantec single video player.

This video is provided for troubleshooting purposes. In this video, you will see how to manually assign agents to a site server using the VMM solution in an IT Management Suite environment. A manually assigned agent is a computer that has been manually assigned to a site rather than assigned through its subnet.

In scenarios, where you have run the inventory, but the task remains queued up without being executed then you must verify whether the virtual resource (Host/VM) is assigned to any site server or not. If the virtual resource does not assigned to any site server or you want to execute the tasks through the remote site servers then you must manually assign the agents to a site server. You can assign the Host (Hypervisor) or VM separately to a remote site server. Once the agent is assigned to the site server, you can perform the VMM tasks efficiently without having issues with the task going in queue.

Nice video; however, the manually assigned agents option causes all manually assigned agents that have been assigned to either the site server or site (MA can be set at both levels), to go to that site server for all site services that are running on it, and not just for the task service.

This is OK in your simple environment; however, as we recommend that less is more in regards to the task service, you need to ensure that you do not install a site service on a TS if manually assigned agents are beoign used, if those agents also have a local PS, because that option will cause them to ignore their local PS and download from the site server they have been manually assigned to.
