In this screencast, Venu Gadiraju, Software Engineer at Symantec Corporation, provides a detailed walkthrough describing how to configure Veritas I/O fencing module 5.1 in customized mode with at least one of the coordination points as a Coordination Point Server 5.1. The I/O fencing module prevents data corruption in the event of network partitions in the cluster. A combination of Coordination Point Servers and SCSI-3 coordinator disks can be configured as coordination points for I/O fencing. In this screencast, you'll learn how to configure I/O fencing on a Storage Foundation for Oracle RAC 5.1 cluster with one Coordination Point Server and two SCSI-3 coordinator disks using the product installer.
