This video presentation provides an overview about how Symantec's Space optimized snapshot technology can be used to replicate a database with Veritas Volume Replicator (VVR) from the primary site to secondary site. Space-optimized snapshots do not contain complete physical images of the original data objects they represent. Space-optimized snapshots consume storage and I/O bandwidth in proportion to how much data on the original volume is updated during a snapshot’s life.
