Hi Guys,

The following problem has been observed while i was trying to take the backup. Inspite of scratch availability the backups are still failing with EC 96. The max mounts shows 0 and the mounts show 20. Is the reason why the backups are failing with EC 96. If yes, kindly help me out in resolving this issue.

Have you checked for possible media hardware expiration date?

Please show us output of the following command for one or two tapes in scratch pool that you feel should have been used:

nbemmcmd -listmedia -mediaid <media-id> 

Command is in <install-path>\veritas\netbackup\bin\admincmd

Thanks alot. The media was expired long backup so thats the reason why the scratch was not taken.
