If i remove a server from the server list; What happens to the backups for that server that are on tape?  Is there any way to perform a restore for a server that was removed from the list if I know that there are backups still available on the tape?

Deleting a server will not delete the data from the tape.  To restore the server, all you need is to catalog the tape.  This will make the server appear in the list of servers.  You can then select the backup sets on the tape and restore from them.

Hi

Removing the server from backup restore will remove all jobs you have created and its job history too And yes removign the server will not remove the data backup on device like tape or disk .

Thanks
