hello

try this

Does anyone have a script to uninstall a Windows 7 patch? We need to remove KB2553248 from a group of PCs where a particular app has an issue with the patch. The PCs are new and Kaseya was not used for initial update, so we can't do a Kaseya Rollback.

Hi Vikram,

Please first copy the existing registry value from regedit

enter newly copied value in below command

@echo off

msiexec.exe /x {AC76BA86-1033-0000-7760-000000000001} /qn

exit

It should work. The uninstall strings can be found in the Windows registry and they're in basically the same place as with XP.

Some apps will place their information here: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall]

While some 32-bit apps will place their information here: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall]

Search through those sections for the KB or patch name and then look for the UninstallString key which will let you know how to uninstall it. From what I've seen, most cases won't show you the silent uninstall string but with MSIs just add the /qn to suppress the dialogs.
