Disk / Manual Replacement

A Disks or Manual replacement or exchange can be ordered directly through Symantec Customer Service. You must have registered the product or show proof of purchase in order to take advantage of this offer.

Symantec guarantees the media on which its products are distributed for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of delivery of the software to you.

Please note: If you have purchased a Downloadable version of Symantec software, you do not qualify for free replacement media.

If you have downloaded a Trialware version of a Symantec product or have received an OEM copy of Symantec software, you do not qualify for replacement media.

Disk replacements for lost or damaged disks are $10.00 (USD). Shipping and handling costs for order fulfillment in the United States are $9.95 (USD) or $9.95 (USD) for Canadian orders.

Please note that replacement media is available for all current versions of Symantec software but only in limited supply for many previous releases. Our Customer Service department will have this information in detail for you.

To process this order, we require the original purchase receipt and the damaged disk being replaced. If the disk is lost one of the following can be accepted as proof of purchase. (You will be asked to submit one of the following with your request by the agent on the phone). Please call Customer Service at 1-800-441-7234.

Items which qualify as proof of ownership are:
  • A photocopy of the original CD
  • A photocopy of the title page of the manual
  • A product number from the box or CD
  • Your Symantec Store confirmation email (from your online order)

If you are located outside of North America, and require a disk or manual replacement, please contact Customer Service in your region for further assistance. To do this:

  1. Navigate to http://www.symantec.com/globalsites.html
  2. Select your region from the list.
  3. Select "Support" (displayed in the yellow navigational bar at the top of the page).
  4. Select "Customer Service".
