Web-Based Training
The Symantec Security Awareness Program provides comprehensive web-based training and communication tools to help companies meet the regulatory requirements specific to employee security awareness training. At the same time, this can help reduce vulnerabilities by creating a more security-aware workforce. The program is designed not only to increase security knowledge and understanding but also to influence appropriate employee behavior at all levels of the workforce.
Based on security industry best practices and international security standards embodied in ISO 27001/27002, the
web-based training helps to educate employees on the importance of information security, provide an understanding that everyone is responsible for securing information, raise employee awareness of the reality of threats, vulnerabilities and consequences and how employees can apply security best practices to their everyday tasks to help secure information. The web-based training addresses many of today’s key security issues including information protection, social engineering, virus protection, password security, web browser security, email security, mobile security and more.
The web-based training is SCORM-compliant and ready to be published to an organization's SCORM 1.2 compliant Learning Management System (LMS) for tracking and reporting purposes.
Communication Tools
The Symantec Security Awareness Program promotes knowledge transfer and information retention through communication tools such as ready-to-print posters, reminder cards, and email templates.

Custom Services
You can purchase the standard web-based training content or the content can be customized to meet your organization’s specific needs, such as branding the content with your logo and company name. Customers can also modify the reference link in the training modules to reference their own security policies, procedures and other relevant information.
PCI Data Security Standard
Many organizations that handle credit card payments must demonstrate compliance with the Payment Card
Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard. As a separate web-based training module, Symantec also offers a PCI
Data Security Standard awareness training that describes the requirements that must be enforced any time a credit card
number is stored, processed or transmitted, regardless of the media. You will understand the types of
information that need to be protected and the impact of a security breach under PCI-DSS.
