BuzzSymantec Corporation ("Symantec") hat ein Programm eingeführt, um ein Netzwerk aus autorisierten CD-Vervielfältigungs- und -Produktionsstätten aufzubauen, in denen wir weltweit unsere Produkte herstellen. Jedes Werk, das Symantec-Produkte legal herstellt, muss im Symantec Authorized Replicator Program registriert sein.
Die Global Brand Protection-Abteilung von Symantec hat Branchenstandards für den Schutz des geistigen Eigentums von Symantec festgelegt. Diese Standards sollen dazu beitragen, die mit Symantec und seinen Ressourcen verbundenen Risiken einzugrenzen und entsprechende Verluste zu minimieren.
Mit der Aufnahme in das Programm wird gewährleistet, dass angemessene und nachweisbare Kontrollen vorhanden sind und diese in den Vervielfältigungs- und Produktionsstätten von Symantec weltweit eingehalten werden. Für die Aufnahme in das Symantec Authorized Replicator Program muss jedes Werk die Einhaltung der schriftlich festgelegten Authorized Replicator Eligibility Standards von Symantec nachweisen. Dazu kann eine vor Ort im Auftrag von Symantec durchgeführte Sicherheitsprüfung gehören. Jedes Werk muss zudem eine Replicator-Vereinbarung mit Symantec unterzeichnen, um am Symantec Authorized Replicator Program teilzunehmen.
