Prior to 7.6:
How to install or register the Altiris Agent Diagnostics:

1. Click Start > Run to open the Run line.
2. Type Regsvr32 "c:\program files\altiris\altiris agent\aexagentdiagnostics.dll" (or change the location to wherever your Altiris agent is installed).  Press OK. You should get a message indicating the DLL was successfully registered. Right-click on the Altiris Agent icon in the system tray, it will display additional diagnostics items.

How to uninstall or unregister the Altiris Agent Diagnostics:

1. Click Start > Run to open the Run line.
2. Type Regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\altiris\altiris agent\aexagentdiagnostics.dll" (or change the location to wherever your Altiris agent is installed).  Press OK. You should get a message indicating the DLL was successfully unregistered and the diagnostics option should be removed.

Post 7.6:

You can now add the diagnostics tools capabilities for the SMA by running from the command prompt "AeXNSAgent.exe /diags" or "AeXAgentUtil.exe /diags".
It adds a new menu called "Diagnostics" in the Agent interface.
