The IIS worker process (w3wp.exe) crashes when Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange (SMSMSE) is enabled.

Issue/Introduction
The IIS worker process (w3wp.exe) generates a pop-up dialog and writes an entry to the application event log indicating a crash of the w3wp.exe process.
In the application event log the following is observed:
Event ID 1000: Faulting application w3wp.exe, version 6.0.3790.3959, faulting module Davex.dll, version 6.5.7651.61, fault address 0x000689b9
Cause
An exception occurred while accessing incorrect parameters passed by Exchange to SMSMSE.
Resolution
