Symantec Premium Content Control is an add-on subscription service to the SMS 8300 Series appliances that extends the power of standard content filtering to help organizations manage risks associated with data leakage, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GLBA, PCI, etc.), and internal governance. Symantec Premium Content Control provides organizations with a set of tools that can be used to demonstrate internal controls to support company data security policies and best practices, as well as external email-related regulations. Version 5, second generation software release for the SMS 8300 Series appliances, is required to run the Premium Content Control add-on subscription.
