Symantec Data Loss Prevention 10 helps organizations stop data breaches and stay ahead of compliance regulations. By introducing an open architecture for enhanced remediation, reporting and policy management, Symantec enables organizations to automatically enforce data security policies. With Symantec Data Loss Prevention 10, companies can now also apply safe-handling capabilities such as encryption and Enterprise Rights Management (ERM) to protect their confidential data.

Enhanced Remediation Platform

  • The new FlexResponse integration platform allows users to build custom remediation actions for Symantec Data Loss Prevention.
  • In addition, FlexResponse delivers out-of-the-box integration with encryption and Enterprise Rights Management (ERM) solutions from Symantec and leading third-party providers.

Open Reporting Architecture

  • New support for XML and Web services enables full export of incident data to any application or reporting system, including enterprise security dashboards and security information event management systems, in order to perform incident correlation and enterprise reporting.

Hosted Email Security Services Support

  • Through new mail forwarding capabilities and support for Transport Layer Security (TLS), Symantec Data Loss Prevention now enables users of hosted email security services – such as MessageLabs Hosted Email Encryption, a Symantec Hosted Service - to monitor, protect and securely deliver confidential information in outbound email without requiring an on-site email gateway.

Symantec Workflow Integration

  • New integration with Symantec Workflow will enable users of Symantec Data Loss Prevention to trigger endpoint security actions such as file encryption and endpoint lock-down by Symantec Endpoint Encryption, Symantec Endpoint Protection, and endpoint security solutions from third-party providers.

Expanded Endpoint Event Coverage

  • Symantec Data Loss Prevention now monitors and blocks confidential data being transferred via CompactFlash and SD devices, AOL Instant Messaging (AIM) Pro sessions, and Print Screen actions.

Expanded Support for Global Deployments

  • Full support for Simplified Chinese, Japanese and French languages enables native speakers to create policies, manage and respond to incidents, and perform full system management.
