Altiris Deployment Solution
Altiris Deployment Solution 7.1 from Symantec helps reduce the cost of deploying and managing servers, desktops, and notebooks from a centralized location in your environment. The solution offers OS deployment, configuration, PC "personality" migration, and software deployment across hardware platforms and OS types, including Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.
Licensing
Deployment Solution is licensed on a per machine basis (regardless of how many CPU's a machine contains). There are two available options: Deployment Solution for Clients and Deployment Solution for Servers. For example, if you have 200 desktops/laptops and 50 servers you want to manage, you would need to purchase 200 licenses of Deployment Solution for Clients and 50 licenses of Deployment Solution for Servers. This product requires a license file for activation.
