Strategic Service Provider Program

Symantec Strategic Service Buying Program (SSP) provides partners with the ability to purchase Symantec software to provide integrated services to customers.

Qualifications to enroll:

  • Meet one of the following Service Provider Models:
    • Application Service Provider (ASP)
    • Managed Service Providers (MSP)
    • Outsource Service Providers (OSP)
    • Internet Solution Providers (ISP)
    • Internet Access Providers (IAP)
  • Place an initial order worth at least 6,000 points

Key Benefits to Service Provider:

  • Owns the Symantec license and support relationship
  • Hosts Symantec products as part of an infrastructure or solution offering to its customers
  • May share the Symantec license between one or more of its customers or dedicate to single customer

SSP Pricing

The SSP Program uses the Rewards Price List. The band level the service provider qualifies for is based on the first initial order in the program.

Support Options

The SSP Buying Program includes an enterprise-class, integrated maintenance/support service option
  • Essential Support: Benefit from round-the-clock access to Symantec’s technical experts, with faster response time targets than Basic Maintenance and access to product upgrades
In addition, providers may wish to purchase Business Critical Services, Managed Security Services, and consulting and education services as additional enhancements to their core Essential Support coverage. These services continue to be available for separate purchase outside the SSP Buying Program. Additional terms and conditions apply.

How to get started:

Contact a Symantec Sales Representative who will provide you with a SSP Agreement to sign and return. After the Agreement is fully signed, your company will receive a Welcome Letter with a SSP SAN that must be used to place the initial and all subsequent orders in the SSP Program.
