SINGAPORE – August 18, 2011 – Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the appointment of Brenton Smith as Vice President of the Symantec.cloud business in Asia Pacific and Japan. Richard Collins, vice president, global sales, Symantec.cloud says Brenton's extensive experience across the region makes him a great fit for the role.

He has also held a number of management and sales development roles at BusinessObjects, Siebel Systems, Brightstar Information Technology Group and SAP.
