Adrian Chamberlain

Senior Vice President, Software-as-a-Service

Adrian Chamberlain is senior vice president of Symantec’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) group. He is responsible for driving Symantec’s SaaS business and expanding SaaS delivery and customer support models across the Symantec technology portfolio. SaaS provides customers the on-demand flexibility to secure and manage their business without the complexity of on-premise hardware or software.

Chamberlain joined Symantec through the acquisition of MessageLabs in November 2008. As the chief executive officer at MessageLabs, he grew the business to more than 19,000 clients in more than 86 countries and established the company as the recognized market leader for hosted messaging security services.

Chamberlain worked for Cable & Wireless for nine years in several leadership roles, culminating in his appointment to the main board in 2002. During his time there he managed the UK’s largest cable TV, telephony and Internet operation, launching the world’s first digital cable TV service. He also spent eighteen months in Asia Pacific running the Consumer and Multimedia Division of Optus, a large telecommunications company.

Prior to joining MessageLabs he was Main Board Director and CEO Europe for Lend Lease, a major construction, retail and property development company. Chamberlain’s early career was in business strategy consulting at the Boston Consulting Group.

He is a graduate of both Cambridge University and the London Business School.
