Symaccount Privacy Notice

We take your privacy very seriously. This document is designed to help you understand what information we collect about you and what we do with this information.

Who we are and where we are located

Symantec Corporation is the data controller of your personal information and is located in the United States. Symantec is a global company and the information may be transferred to affiliates of the Symantec group in other countries that may have less protective data protection laws than the region in which you are situated (including the European Union). Information we collect

When you create your Symaccount, we ask for your name, e-mail address, password, company, country and language. When you use different services through Symaccount, for instance PartnerNet or Connect, we ask you to provide additional information, including communication preferences.

Use of the information

We use Symaccount information to set up and to administer the account. We use your Symaccount credentials to provide one single login to the different Symaccount applications and to authenticate you every time you access Symaccount. We use additional information provided through the Symaccount applications for the purposes described in the applicable terms and conditions. We may use your contact details to send you communications about events, and about Symantec products and services, in accordance with your permission and in compliance with applicable laws.

Sharing the information

Symantec does not sell, rent or lease your information. Symantec may share your information with subcontractors, vendors and fulfillment partners acting on behalf of Symantec including in countries located outside the European Economic Area (EEA) for the uses above.

Do you have to give us the information?

You do not have to provide your information, but if you do not provide it, you cannot set up a Symaccount and you cannot access the Symaccount applications.

How you can access and update your information
