The historical Veritas and Symantec programs are merging together. Symantec Certification is an industry benchmark for customer skills and knowledge. Although each product varies in complexity and depth, all certification exams are created specifically for customers in an administrative role and cover core elements measuring technical knowledge against factors such as installation, configuration, product administration and day-to-day maintenance. By achieving certification, you validate the technical expertise required to help lower operating cost and gain industry recognition. Symantec is currently updating the high availability and data protection Specialist certification exams. The Symantec Certification Team is planning to develop a new Security Certification Program beginning with a Symantec EndPoint Protection certification exam. It will be available in July 2008. Retirement Announcement
Symantec has retired the historical Security certification program (SCTS, SCSP, SCSE, SCTA). Individuals currently holding any of the Security certifications and candidates who were currently working towards a Security certification will receive information in December relative to their certification expiration.
