New marketing tool, NortonSocial, helps channel partners receive and repost Norton news.

– Norton by Symantec (NASDAQ: SYMC) is pleased to announce an enhanced version of its Norton Partner Portal. Norton Partner Portal
(NPP) aims to meet the needs of the growing number of Norton channel partners in the United Kingdom.
With increasing demand for the Norton product portfolio around the country, Norton wanted to provide a wide set of tools to its channel partners to support the growth of the UK channel partners into the coming years.

In addition to providing all relevant sales, marketing and technical information, Norton has added some new and unique tools that will help partners access key information and grow their Norton business.
One of those tools is, NortonSocial, a marketing tool that lets partners receive and repost news from Norton on their own social networks. This takes away the need to manually sift through high volumes of content. In three clicks, partners receive the news they want, edit it and finally post it on their chosen Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn account(s).
Cary added “With NortonSocial, we aim to make our resellers the trusted source of Norton content for their followers. By being active on social media, our partners will help their customers and prospects make informed IT-related decisions. No one else is offering partners anything like NortonSocial and it marks a new direction for us”.
Also new on the Norton Partner Portal is the ability for partners to set their communication preferences by product, news type and frequency.
“Of course our partners sell other products and work with other vendors, so we want to make sure they receive from Norton only the information that complements their business. The Norton Partner Portal builds newsletters dynamically and lets resellers decide what they want to hear about and when they want to receive news from us. By giving partners the choice, we believe it will optimise our communications flow and serve our channel better”, Cary concluded.
