Which? Magazine awards Norton Internet Security 2011 Best BuyNorton is delighted to announce its most recent accolade for Norton Internet Security 2011, the Which? Best Buy antivirus award in the May 2011 edition.
The review itself highlights the excellent performance of the product: “Norton Internet Security 2011 is another step in Symantec's quest to prove that its popular internet security software product can provide strong protection without slowing your PC.”
Which? Is an independent, trusted and reliable magazine, representing the independent Consumer Association in the UK , reaching a subscription-only base of 50,000 people and respected by thousands more.
The reviewer adds: “Installing Norton is painless and the initial setup leaves the package ready to protect from the start,”
“The Norton suite dealt well with web and email-based threats, and handled our infected USB stick impeccably,” “Our testers liked the parental controls, which work in conjunction with Norton's Online Family solution service,”
The group test examined twelve products, awarding Norton 87% and a coveted Best Buy award.
The reviewer noted that some free internet security software offers “great protection at no cost”, however the first free product rated, Microsoft Security Essentials, only gets 72%, a full 15% less than award-winning Norton Internet Security. Paid-for products take the first five places in the group test, demonstrating that full security protection and added features are what the UK’s Consumer Association ranks most highly.
