Bill Robbins

Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Bill Robbins serves as executive vice president of Worldwide Sales responsible for sales and operations across the company. Most recently he was senior vice president of The Americas geography, responsible for driving Symantec’s sales and operations in the United States, Canada and Latin America.

Previously Robbins served as senior vice president of the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) geography, responsible for driving Symantec's sales and business development across more than 17 countries. In this role he served as the senior leader for the overall Symantec business in Asia Pacific and Japan.

Prior to heading the Asia Pacific and Japan organization, Robbins was Symantec's vice president, Eastern United States and National Telecommunications Sales where he was responsible for a team of more than 175 account managers and a 400-person extended team. Previously Robbins was vice president, Northern Europe, Veritas Software, and throughout the Symantec-Veritas Software merger, Robbins led the integration planning for the global Sales organization.

Robbins joined Veritas Software in 2002 to manage Worldwide Sales Operations. Reporting to the executive vice president of Sales, his responsibilities encompassed all aspects of Sales Operations on a global basis. Robbins also had responsibility for the company's Pricing & Licensing organization, an Emerging Technology Sales organization, and Channel Partner Operations Support.

Before joining Veritas Software, Robbins was chief operating officer for Comdisco's $800m Technology Services Division, which included running business operations for Comdisco's High Availability Continuity, Web and Storage Services lines of business. While there, he was a lead executive in the divesture of the Services Division to SunGard Data systems where he co-managed the integration of the two businesses.

Before joining Comdisco, Robbins was a managing director of Business Development at MCI Systemhouse, a $2B outsourcing and system integration firm. Robbins has also held a wide range of positions at Electronic Data Systems.

Robbins holds bachelor's degrees in business administration and economics, both with top honors from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He is also a Certified Management Accountant.
