Vice President, Chief Communications Officer
Colleen Lacter is responsible for the Symantec global communications team, including employee communications, corporate communications, and industry trade analyst relations. Her team helps to create and influence the perceptions and beliefs held by various external and internal constituencies, and is chartered with enhancing and managing corporate reputation, company brand, product awareness, and thought leadership equity.
Prior to joining Symantec, she was an executive vice president at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, where she developed trusting relationships with many of the most influential technology and business media.
While at Waggener Edstrom, Colleen led multiple account teams and served as a member of the executive leadership team responsible for the growth and direction of the Microsoft account. As a strategic advisor to Microsoft, she spearheaded the launch of many key products including Internet Explorer, MSN and Bing. In addition, she led analyst relations programs that resulted in unprecedented endorsements, drove internal and external communications for key Microsoft executive hires and built world-class teams.
Colleen attended the University of Oregon and received a BA in Communications from Portland State University. Download images
