Kris Hagerman

Senior Vice President, Data Center Management

Kris Hagerman is senior vice president of the data center management business unit. Hagerman is responsible for all product management, product engineering, alliances, and go-to-market functions related to the company’s enterprise offerings in data protection, storage management, server management, and application performance management.

Hagerman joined Symantec through the company’s merger with VERITAS Software in July 2005. At VERITAS, Hagerman most recently served as executive vice president of storage and server management. Previously, he served as executive vice president of strategic operations for the company, managing strategic alliances, business development, and mergers and acquisitions.

Before joining VERITAS, Hagerman served as founder and chief executive officer at Affinia Inc., where he created the Internet's first contextual merchandising platform, attracting over 100,000 commercial customers in less than 10 months. Prior to that, Hagerman was the founder and chief executive officer of BigBook, Inc., a pioneering Internet yellow pages service acquired by GTE in 1998. In addition, Hagerman has held various management positions in consulting, sales and marketing, business development, and finance at companies such as Silicon Graphics Computer Systems, Odyssey Research, McKinsey & Company, and Morgan Stanley.

Hagerman holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also received a master's degree in international relations from Cambridge University and a bachelor's degree in Russian and economics from Dartmouth College.
