Peter Geytenbeek

Peter Geytenbeek has worked in the IT industry for over 20 years. Starting as a consultant in the high-end prepress market, he soon set up his own distribution company, specifically geared to service and implementation. Following the merger of this company with an international distribution organization, he engaged on setting up offices in the Benelux for international software vendors.

In the past few years, he has increasingly focused on specific areas and has become responsible for the implementation of speech and language technologies within large enterprises.  In this capacity, he gained insight into the business world’s growing need for storage and storage management software..

In 2001 he was given responsibility for the PowerQuest Benelux office and the transition of this office to a professional supplier of Storage Solutions for the business community. In 2002 he laid the foundation for the Storage Lifecycle Automation Management (SLAM) vision.  After PowerQuest was acquired by Symantec he took over responsibility for the SEA business unit in Benelux. In December 2005 he was appointed Acting Sales Director for the AIM division in the Southern Region.

In 2005 he started his MBA studies at the prestigious Business School Netherlands (BSN) in Buren, the Netherlands.
 
On 1 April 2006, he was appointed Country Manager Austria for Symantec.
