Steve Messick

Senior Vice President, The Americas Geography

As senior vice president, Sales, The Americas, Steven B. Messick is responsible for driving Symantec's operations across all market segments in the United States, Canada and Latin America. In addition, he leads Symantec's channel sales team, working with value-added resellers, OEM partners, and retail partners.

A sales executive for 24 years, Messick has broad experience in software sales, with leadership roles in direct sales, telesales and multi-channel distribution. Prior to joining Symantec, Messick was vice president of sales for AXENT Technologies, area vice president of Sales for Inktomi Corporation, and vice president of Product Sales for Sybase, Inc. Messick has also held various senior sales management positions at Powersoft Corporation, Legent Corporation and Knowledgeware, Inc.

Messick earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Va.
