The foundation of this solution is Symantec Protection Center Enterprise, a powerful data collection and analytics platform. Symantec Protection Center Enterprise brings data together from your existing Symantec and 3rd party security solutions, and provides roles-based views and workflows for the different stakeholders across the enterprise security team.
Symantec Protection Center Mobile is an innovative Apple iPad app that puts security insights at the fingertips of IT security executives. Symantec Protection Center Mobile provides oversight of the IT security program, displaying key IT security metrics and business risk scores, enabling security executives to clearly communicate security status in business terms, anytime and anywhere.

Symantec Protection Center Mobile

Business Risk View: View risk score for overall organization as well as risk scores for individual business areas. View trends and progress towards key risk targets.
Security Metrics View: View key security metrics for the overall organization as well as for individual business areas. A library of pre-defined security metrics are available in the following categories:

Threats View: View up-to-date information about the threats that could affect your organization, with the option of integrating Symantec DeepSight Security Intelligence.

Business Asset System: Allows you to map devices and technologies to business groups and processes, enabling you to get a business-centric view of risk scores and security metrics.
Data Aggregation & Analytics Engine: A unique and highly scalable data framework allows you to collect, normalize and analyze data from multiple sources.
Security Metrics Library: Provides library of key security metrics grouped according to the commonly deployed security controls.
External Data Integration (EDI): Pre-built connectors allow you to integrate data from a wide range of Symantec and 3rd party security solutions. You can easily create your own custom connectors via the EDI interface.
Role-specific dashboard and reports: A web portal provides a common presentation layer for this platform. Whether you are accessing the data on premise or via the iPad application, you can generate role-specific dashboards and reports.
Integrated Workflow: Workflow integration allows you to automate certain business processes such as remediation and risk acceptance.

Licensing

Symantec Protection Center Enterprise is licensed based on the assets plugged into the platform using per managed device as the licensing meter. A base license purchase is mandatory before additional device license purchases. In addition, customers who purchase Symantec Protection Center Enterprise or CCS Risk Manager 11.0 will be given free access to Symantec Protection Center Mobile.
