Datascape is helping hundreds of clients in the UK escape the problems associated with data not being securely and reliably protected. An innovative service based on Veritas NetBackup PureDisk software from Symantec ensures that clients' data is automatically and securely backed up via the Internet or private network to Datascape's highly secure data centers. Deduplication technology is helping to reduce the amount of source data that needs to be backed up by 95 percent—improving disk-based storage utilization and reducing the costs associated with tape management. Integration with Veritas NetBackup also enables Datascape to manage the lifecycle of backup and recovery from disk to tape.
