In addition to a dynamic and dispersed citizen population and increasing regulatory demands, regional health provider SAS was challenged by a depressed macroeconomic environment that heightened the need for cost controls and operational efficiencies. To meet these challenges, SAS standardized its IT environment and streamlined its business processes by consolidating onto a comprehensive set of Symantec solutions. A Total Operational and Economic Impact (TOEI) analysis by The Alchemy Solutions Group found that Symantec solutions helped SAS realize tangible business value. Actual and projected savings of more than US$53 million are expected for the period of October 2005 through December 2012.
