As part of a global review to improve the quality of its services, Capgemini’s Outsourcing Services (OS) unit has decided to set up a new shared backup platform. The Capgemini OS teams were satisfied with Veritas NetBackup―which is installed as standard on the platform―and thus opted to entrust the services component to Symantec as well, through its Managed Backup Services solution. A high-level platform resulted from this collaboration. With accurate analysis reports, fast restoration, shared costs, reduced operating costs, and shared processes, customers will now benefit from the expertise of both Capgemini and Symantec.
