Symantec utnevner Lindsey Armstrong til vice president for EMEA

Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) kunngjorde i dag at Lindsey Armstrong er utnevnt til Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa EMEA. Lindsey Armstrong, som tidligere var Vice President of EMEA i VERITAS, vil ha ansvar for planlegging og gjennomføring av forretningsstrategi for den samlete Symantec-organisasjonen og lede salg og forretningsutvikling i regionen.

SYMANTEC NAMES LINDSEY ARMSTRONG AS VICE PRESIDENT FOR EMEA
Reading, UK. – July 31, 2005 – Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced that Lindsey Armstrong has been named Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa EMEA. Lindsey Armstrong, formerly vice president of EMEA with VERITAS will be responsible for planning and implementing business strategy for the combined Symantec organisation and overseeing sales and business development for the region.
Lindsey Armstrong, vice president EMEA, says: “I’m looking forward to providing information security and availability solutions to enterprise customers of all sizes in EMEA.”
During her 10-year career at VERITAS, Armstrong was instrumental in driving the growth in the EMEA region and successfully expanded VERITAS’ business in Europe, the Middle East and Former Eastern Bloc countries.
Prior to joining VERITAS, she ran the U.S. East Coast operations of OpenVision, which merged with VERITAS in 1997. She has also held senior-level sales positions at Oracle, both in the United Kingdom and at the company’s New York office.
Armstrong will be based in the company’s UK office in Green Park.
