I have made a living over the last 8 years REMOVING Symantec products from clients computers, including Anti Virus and Internet Security because of the problems encountered by first time computer users and because of the amount of resources and invasive tactics used to protect PC's.
I am happy to say the new Norton Anti Virus 2010 may be the best product this company has produced in many a year. It has a much lower footprint and uses little to no resources even when running background tasks or even a FULL SYSTEM Scan. The new interface is much better and for the first time in my years repairing Windows PC'S I highly recommend NAV 2010."

Nov 02, 2009 -"The software is installed and monitors my personal computer. Every now and again it will alert me to some potential threat and allow me to take appropriate action. The norton software updates itself with new virus definitions pretty frequently, suggesting that the norton scientists and technology are actively seeking out new virus problems. I don't think I will get viruses by using the norton products."
