Step 1: Check to see if the computer meets the minimum system requirements
To successfully install Norton Internet Security 2007, your system must meet the following minimum requirements:
Basic requirements for Windows XP:
  1. Windows® XP Home Edition or Professional Edition
  2. 300-MHz or faster processor
  3. 256 MB of RAM
  4. 350 MB of available hard disk space
Basic requirements for Windows Vista:
  1. 1 GHz or higher processor
  2. 512 MB RAM
  3. 350 MB of available hard disk space
Step 2: Prepare your system for installation
  1. Remove any other antivirus or firewall programs that are installed. To remove them, start Control Panel, and use Add or Remove programs.
  2. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet.
  3. Exit all open programs on your computer, except for your Web browser.
Step 3: Start the Norton Internet Security Installation
