The State of Spam

Never open an email that you suspect to be spam. Delete it immediately, or forward it to your Internet Service Provider’s spam-reporting service.
Never open an attachment or click a link in an email from an unknown sender.
Use spam filters, but check your blocked mail frequently to make sure you’re not missing legitimate messages.
Never respond to an emailed request regarding an “urgent account problem.” These are never legitimate.
