Vishing: ID Theft Calling

Be suspicious of any email or voice mail you receive directing you to call a toll-free number to confirm your account details or resolve a problem.
Never give out your private data, over the phone or online, in response to an email or automated phone call.
If there is any question, call the institution at its known phone number.
Because vishing can lure victims through phone calls, it may reach people who haven't been exposed to antiphishing education on the Web. Spread the word among your less Web-savvy friends and relatives.
