Dec 11, 2009 -"NGhost 15 is really good at what its main function is. To make a perfect image of your computer to allow easy disaster recovery or easily move from one computer to another when upgrading. It even supports off-site FTP copying, but it can be quite tedious if you have images of several gigabytes over a home internet connection.
It also offers file backup, but it lacks some basic functionalities found in other competing products. For instance, you can't exclude specific paths from a backup. I want to backup my iTunes library, but I want to exclude the Podcasts folder from the backup. Can't do it. Another big caveat is that off-site FTP isn't supported for file backup. I can't figure out why Symantec couldn't implement that. That would be my real reason to use FTP. I already have a web hosting account with lots of space. File backup takes much less space than full ghosting so that would be fine to replicate over FTP... but alas... I can't rely on NGhost 15 for that. Pretty much all competitors are better than NG15 in this regard."

Oct 20, 2009 -“Norton Ghost 14 adds even more features to the already popular Norton Ghost / Save & Restore line of products. I've noticed a dramatic increase in speed and performance when compared to its predecessor, Norton Ghost 12 (why was there never a 13?). This edition adds FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and NAS (Network Attached Storage) support functionality making remote jobs and storage easy and accessible for our wireless world.
As with all Ghost products, Norton Ghost 14 has a very easy to navigate and intuitative interface with simple prompts and self-explanitory choices that make using it a breeze even for beginners however... under the hood lies a wealth of options and featurs to appease even demanding power users who are trying to start a small business such as myself.
There's only one flaw with this particular version of the product and that is if you run Live Update and download the patch available, it'll cause an error message to appear while ghosting - however this has NO effect on the integrity of the ghost created. Said bug is the only thing preventing me from giving it a 5 star rating.”

Oct 11, 2009 -“Saved my life so many times over the years. What a great program. Have tried others and always come back to Norton Ghost. It is without question the best for saving your butt when all else fails such as a main C Drive goes south. Frankly I insist that you get Norton Ghost - so little to pay to get so much! Especially when you can pick and choose what needs to be restored.”
