Your browser's default home page appears to have been changed from your original choice. Either your Symantec application has removed a threat that changed your home page, or you have chosen Symantec Home Page Assistance after installing a 2006 Norton program.
As part of the repair process, read below on how to return your default home page to your preferred setting.
To reset the Internet Explorer home page (version 6 or newer)
Launch a new copy of Internet Explorer. A second window displaying the same content will open.
In the new window, browse to the site that you want as your home page.
Click Tools > Internet Options on the menu. Note: if you do not see the menu bar, press Alt+T to open the Tools menu.
On the General tab, in the Home page area, click "Use Current".
Click OK to finish.
Close all browser windows and then restart Internet Explorer.
To reset the Firefox home page (version 2 or newer)
Launch a new copy of Firefox. A second window displaying the same content will open.
In the new window, browse to the site that you want as your home page.
Select the URL and drag it onto the Home icon.
Click OK to finish.
Close all browser windows and then restart Firefox.

Launch a new copy of Firefox. A second window displaying the same content will open.
In the new window, browse to the site that you want as your home page.
Click Tools > Options... on the menu.
On the Main tab, in the Startup area, click "Use Current Pages".
Make sure “When Firefox starts:” is set to “Show my home page.” (Only for version 3)
Click OK to finish.
Close all browser windows and then restart Firefox.
For Norton AntiVirus 2006, Norton Internet Security 2006, or Norton SystemWorks 2006
If you use any of these Norton products, select the second menu choice in the alert message and then click OK.
In the following example, the home page was changed to www.symantec.com.
