What is a Beta?

A "beta" is a pre-release version of a Symantec product that is available for public testing before the final version of the product is released. Through public testing, we evaluate how the product performs in a "real world" environment and collect valuable feedback from our customers. Our beta testers are a valued part of the Symantec community.

Current Beta Version

We will be posting updates to the Norton 360 Version 2.0 public beta throughout the public beta testing cycle. Please see the public beta release notes for the date and release number of the latest public beta build.

How to Participate

It's easy. Just download the beta, step through the installation process and start exploring Norton 360 Version 2.0! Norton 360 Version 2.0 Beta testers will be notified in advance when the launch version of Norton 360 Version 2.0 is available.

Important: Norton Ghost and Norton Save & Restore can coexist with Norton 360 Version 2.0. However, if you have any other existing Norton products running, like Norton Internet Security or Norton AntiVirus, you'll need to uninstall those products to participate in the beta. After the beta test period, be sure to reinstall your Norton products so you'll continue to have Norton's award-winning protection.
