Symantec Corporation Receives Proclamation from Los Angeles County for Telecommute America Week
Symantec honored in presentation ceremony
CUPERTINO, Calif. --October 21, 1997-- -- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq:SYMC), the leading provider of PC communications software, announced today that in a presentation ceremony conducted by The County of Los Angeles Board of Superviors, the company was awarded a special proclamation for its activities and sponsorship during Telecommute America Week (October 20 - 24, 1997). The proclamation was presented by Supervisor Mike Antonovich to Symantec and other representatives in support of the Telecommute America Week initiative. The proclamation also encourages all citizens to telecommute. Accepting the award on Symantec's behalf was Matt DiMaria, Vice President of America's Marketing.
