Symantec's Norton Utilities 3.0 Wins Family PC's Top Rated Award

- Troubleshooting tool is the only software utility included; Listed as 'Best Software for Mom and Dad' -

Sunnyvale, Calif --August 11, 1998-- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC), the world leader in utility software for business and personal computing, today announced that Norton Utilities, part of Symantec's award winning family of utility and anti-virus products, won FamilyPC's Top Rated award. Norton Utilities is one part of the complete line of award-winning Norton products designed to keep your computer safe and reliable. Norton Utilities was the only software utility recognized in FamilyPC's fourth edition of the Top 100 Awards. Norton Utilities was chosen by FamilyPC editors and thousands of family testers as "Best Software for Mom and Dad" in the July/August issue.
