Symantec's Retail Sales Lead the Way This Holiday Season

Consumers turn to Norton SystemWorks for the perfect gift

CUPERTINO, Calif --December 21, 1998-- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq:SYMC) continued to increase sales in U.S. retail software, according to PC Data's November sales report. With five of the top ten best-selling business software products belonging to Symantec, PC Data reported Symantec's unit sales jumped 12% in November over October, significantly beating the overall business market in unit growth. The primary competitor in utilities software, Network Associates (Nasdaq:NETA) experienced negative growth in both dollars and units.
